We work together in our salon and want all of our guests to feel free to visit any of the stylists that they would like, regardless of stylists they have worked with on previous visits. If you have any questions about our stylists, our salon coordinator would be happy to help.

NIKKI
Nikki has taken pleasure in styling and coloring hair and creating faces for 18 years. Her experiences have taken her around the country, across the ocean, and landed her back in her native Baltimore where she enjoys the unique, creative atmosphere.
As a stylist, Nikki creates styles that take a classic look and make it unique and special for each guest. Her strengths include short hair cuts, cutting curly hair and creating natural, dimensional haircolor. Listening to a client and incorporating their needs and wants for their style is very important to her.
From creating everyday styles for in-salon clients, to educating fellow stylists nationally, creating color for film, and designing looks for local personalities and fashion shows, Nikki has worn many hats during her career. She has created color for Sissy Spacek and Scott Baristow in Tuck Everlasting, Sonja Sohn in The Wire, the cast of Blair Witch 2, and Margo Martindale in Rocket Science. Her work has been published in Baltimore’s Style Magazine as well as multiple issues of Passion. Her most recent venture, the opening on NV Salon Collective in Hampden was recently recognized in the January 2010 Top Salons issue of Baltimore Magazine.
During her seven years as a platform artist for Redken, Nikki traveled the country, and occasionally the globe, sharing information with fellow stylists. Bringing new trends and ideas back to her salon teammates was one of the most rewarding elements of her career.
Nikki is constantly seeking new challenges and creative ventures to enhance her daily work with a lovely and loyal clientele. At NV Salon Collective, she hopes to build a team of stylists who can offer exceptional service and style in a low key and friendly environment.
BARBARA
Barbara Johnson was named City Paper’s Hairstylist of the Year in 2005. Her haircuts offer a classic style with an updated edge that work for anyone from the most conservative to the most edgy of clients. Precision cutting with attention to the natural falling pattern of the hair is Barbara’s specialty. These techniques insure that your personalized look will be easy to style and will last an extra week or two for guests with busy schedules. Attention to face shape and hair type will insure that your style will be just the right style for you. Barbara’s humor and caring nature will offer you a down to earth and pleasant experience while you are visiting NV Salon Collective.
BETHANY
Bethany Pontier has been in the Beauty Industry for 13 years and a professional in the Baltimore Area for over five years. She received the Best Hairstylist award in 2006 from the Baltimore City Paper and the Best Hairstylist for men in 2006 from Baltimore Magazine. Bethany has a talent for choosing a shape and style for her clients that compliment their look and style while updating their look for a modern lifestyle. She is also a four year veteran skater for the Charm City Roller Girls.
DEBBIE
Debbie began her career in 1984 with classical education and training at International Hair School. Seeking more knowledge and a broader perspective she undertook advanced training in the United Kingdom with Jingles International studying and becoming a Salon Advocate. She has trained and studied with numerous industry leaders including Sebastian, Toni & Guy, Paul Mitchell, and Redken. Inspired by the originality of Bumble & Bumble’s Michael Gordon, Debbie ultimately became involved as a Bumble Network Educator.
Debbie’s extensive education and career have led her on a diverse, exciting path which included Artistic Director for About Faces Day Spa, Stylist and Director on photo shoots, video shoots and fashion shows, Industry Educator, and Instructor at the Fila Academy. She has been fortunate to experience the World Congress of Hair in London England, and to participate with Wella’s Hands-On Symposium in Milan, Italy.
With more than 20 years experience in the Baltimore community and her commitment to Education in town and around the world, Debbie brings a fresh perspective to NV Salon Collective . Her cutting skills and willingness to listen are a great gift to clients looking for a special and unique style.
CAT
Cat is our amazing Salon Coordinator. She comes to us straight from Starbucks where she learned not only how to give exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, but also how to keep a small, busy space running efficiently in a kind, friendly manner. Cat is the glue that keeps the operation together, which means she is here to help you choose the right stylist for you, schedule your appointments, answer any questions you may have about your services and keep the stylists communicating with each other and with our guests so everyone has a good visit at NV Salon Collective.
